Title: Scheduler
Hourly Rate: £7 - £9.50 per hour
Salary: £14.5 - £19.5k upon permanent appointment
Benefits: 26 days holiday contributory pension, employee reward scheme, excellent training and career prospects. (Upon permanent appointment)
Location: Old Trafford, Trafford, Manchester
This role is initially a 3-4 month temporary position with a possible view to go permanent after this time.
The core role of the scheduling team is to effectively plan and support the work of our mobile engineers while they deliver service to our customers, manage issues and problems as they arise.
Key Accountabilities:
Scheduling:
*Ensure a detailed schedule for each engineer is prepared in advance for each engineer
*Ensure that each engineer's works are executed in accordance with the plan
*The ability to reschedule and re-allocate works when issues arise, to make best use of individual and team effectiveness
Operational:
*Adhere to team rosters
*To liaise with Engineers and engineering Team Leaders as appropriate
*Asset management for customer plant and equipment
*Ensure procedures and process are documented and relevant to current environment
*The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
*Adhere to IT and company policies
*And miscellaneous task allocated by management
Customer Service:
*Familiarisation with relevant customers' environments
*Liaise directly with engineers and customers regarding planned engineering activities
*Foster excellent relationships and communication with telephony teams, engineering teams, suppliers and external customers
*Manage own health and safety in conjunction with organisational support systems to ensure a safe working environment
Relevant Experience
*Experience of working within similar scheduling environment
*Good communicator, working with other teams
*Familiar with creating and updating robust work schedules
*Familiar with IT systems (specific training will be provided)
*Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
*Good team worker
*Flexible working hours
